Kolao kicks off auto mobile assembly plant construction

(KPL) On Monday, the Kolao Developing held a groundbreaking ceremony for a auto part manufacturing and assembly plant at Nong Phue village, Kaysone Phomvihane district, Savannakhet province.

On the same day, the company laid a foundation stone for the construction of the Indochina Bank’s branch, car showroom, hotel, shopping mall, and apartment in Houameuang Tay, Kaysone Phomvihane district, in the presence of Savannakhet Governor Mr. Souphanh Keomixay, Chairman of Kolao Group Se Young Oh, district chief administrators, and representatives of provincial divisions.

The Kolao Group has grown from the Kolao Developing and recognizing its constant extensive growth, the company has decided to provide more options of service for the public.

The USD 34 million project is to be implemented in three different phases as the construction of car showroom, Indochina Bank’s branch, have been put in the first phase, the construction of apartments and shopping mall is in phase two and the development of hotel, to be completed within 5 or 7 years, fall to phase three, according to President of Kolao Group Board of Directors Mr. Khamkhan Naphavong.

The Kolao Developing is reportedly going to employ at least 1,500 people to implement the multimillion US dollar project, who will be soon trained by the company to ensure they are able to handle work with proper skills.
