LC Biogas to begin building factory by this month’s end

(KPL) LC Biogas Company, affiliate to the Mekong Electronic ( Laos), will kick off the construction of its biogas factory by this month’s end in Donekoy village, Sysattanark district, Vientiane Capital.

The construction is the cooperation between the Lao government and Chinese business people, according to the LC Biogas Director Mr. Tang Xiaojiang.

Mr. Tang said that the biogas produced by the USD 2-million factory would be sold locally and exported to neighbouring Myanmar and Cambodia.

The construction is expected to be over by this year’s end. The Lao government holds a 20-per cent stake of shares of the investment project, according to Mr. Tang.

“The company has a registered capital of USD 600,000. In the first 5 years, the company is entitled to tax exemption. It is required to pay 7.5% of annual profit tax in the first three years after the grace period is over, and then 15% of the same tax in a period of 30 years, according to Mr. Tang.
