Protected wild animals seized

(KPL) Wild animal traders have been recently seized with the possession of almost 40 kg of prohibited wildlife-dead and alive at Dongmak kai market, Saythany district, Vientiane Capital.

The wildlife animals have been seized by the rangers of Vientiane Forestry Investigation Division in cooperation with the Forestry Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry after the inspection.

This is thanks to a regular inspection carrying out four times monthly.

Merchants have been warned as writing for the first time. If they continue doing so, they will be punished as the law identified.

The seized wildlife animal including 25 alive snakes, turtle and 50 birds will be then released back to their habitats and dead will be burned.
