400 year-old Buddha images found in Xiengkhouang

(KPL) Over 300 Buddha images have been found in Khoun district of northern province Xiengkhuang.
Authorities said the Buddha images, parts of bronze pan, and parts of palm-leaf manuscripts were found containing in earthen jars. They said the Buddha images were made of gold, silver, bronze, lead, lacquer, clay.
The images were buried in Lao Lang Xang Era or about 400 years ago, according to archaeologists of the Provincial Heritage Division of Xiengkhouang.
Authorities have registered the found items for protection purposes.
